Assistant to Cambodian Media Marketing and Radio Advisor – 3 months contract
The Cambodia-Canada Agriculture Market Information Project (CAMIP) is bilateral project funded by the Canadian International Development Agency. CAMIP is working in 14 towns and provinces in Cambodia. Its objective is to increase income of rural stakeholders through the provision of appropriate market information through different media. CAMIP is seeking to recruit an Assistant to Cambodian Media Marketing & Radio Advisor.
Currently the media used are through the CAMIP website : http://www.camip-kh.org/ , sms text messaging, radio, and television. With most of the contents developed its essential to explore revenue options for the various media.
The Assistant to Cambodian Media Marketing & Radio Advisor is expected to work independently and under direction of the Cambodian Media Marketing & Radio Advisor and in close collaboration with the Agricultural Marketing Office in the Department of Planning and Statistics in the Ministry of Agriculture.
Major Responsibilities :
»»Actively seek sponsorship from private and public sector agencies for market information broadcasting. Work in close collaboration with AMO to build capacity within AMO to maintain sponsorship.
»»Database development and management.
»»In collaboration with a Cambodia Media & Radio Advisor develop a script and storyline of radio and television.
»»Have effective communication to get approval from relevant officer on storyline and storyboard developed to get production done as planned.
»»Ability to work independently to supervise the operation of radio & television broadcasting to run as topic planned.
»»Ability to work independently to monitor broadcasting show.
»»Ability to doing monthly media monitoring report to Cambodia Media & Radio Advisor.
»»Be able to travel to target provinces as requires.
»»Have a good time management in production supervision to get work done as plan.
»»Have a good time management in sending video file as comment from TV station.
»»Have their challenge in negotiating on compensation.
»»Have interpersonal skill in problem solving and quality control.
Qualifications and Experience :
««Bacherlor’s degree or equivalent in communication related fields such as Communication Arts, Mass Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Educational Technology, Visual Arts, Multimedia Production, and Social Marketing
««Proven experience in Media Marketing
««Proven experience in sale
««Additional certification or training in a variety of media production and, in particular, web-based materials would be desirable.
««The person selected will be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
««S/he will also have the ability to work as a lead team-player under frequent time pressures.
««Native Khmer and good English speaking and wring skills are essential for the position.
